Au delà du cadre

We were able to complete this project during a 4-day creative week at Bellecour école school, which focused on the theme of 'Dream', and the title of our creative week was 'In the way of...Berthe Morisot"

The video begins with a drawing in 2D where we are found (the 4 students who worked on this project) in front of a 2D interpretation of Berthe Morisot, inspired by the portrait of the artist by Édouard Manet. The camera slowly zooms into her eye, inviting the viewer to enter a dreamlike journey through imaginary worlds influenced by her paintings.

Her gaze reflects on a small boat that becomes the narrative thread. The boat travels through different environments inspired by impressionist atmospheres: a scene of daylight (made by Matthias Abrantes Coulot - 2B2D), a sunset landscape (made by Mailys Gaune - 2B2D), and finally a night scene (made by Fabio Bianco - 2B2D), where Morisot and her fan are seen sitting on a bench in a moment of tranquility as the journey ends.

The project is centered around the idea of entering the inner world of an artist, moving from representation to imagination.
